Biele Group was founded in 1973 by 2 entrepreneurial engineers: Julián Lazkano and Tomás Letamendia, who started the activity by producing automation equipment for the wood processing industry.

In 1982 the company was expanded with a widening of capital made by 8 more partners who actually determine the shareholders board of Biele.

Three years later, in 1985, the start of the metal and automotive industry led to the establishment, in 1990, of the 3 divisions making up Biele: Biele Wood, Biele Metal and Biele Industrial.

In 2009, Biele Group takes over Marzola, a company specialized in the manufacture of industrial presses. As a result to this strategic operation, Biele Group is now in a position to propose unique turn-key projects and complete solutions, providing full production processes in industrial plants.

The first subsidiary outside Europe (Biele USA), was established in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2015, followed by Biele CHINA in 2016, achieving thus the objective of continuing growing as an international group committed to development, and present in more than 50 countries throughout the word. 

In 2017, we set up Biele Robotics & Artificial Vision with the aim of providing robotic and artificial vision solutions to all the Group divisions.

In the same year, Biele Group reorganizes into four divisions in order to provide effective and specialized service: Biele Wood, Biele Metal, Biele Building and Biele Automotive.

With over 200 employees, of which at least 55% are qualified engineers specialized in high- tech solutions, Biele Group designs and manufactures  process automation lines for the world’s largest corporations.
